Aisha Shillingford has been a contributor to the research process since 2017, through participating in numerous interviews and through reviewing draft content for the book manuscript Beloved Economies. Aisha is also providing facilitation support to the Beloved Economies Research and Campaign Team in strategic planning and narrative design.

Aisha Shillingford is an artist, writer and experience designer from Kalinago/Warao land (Trinidad & Tobago) currently living in unceded Lenapehoking territory (Brooklyn, NY), She is a Black, Afro-Caribbean feminist and futurist whose purpose is to cultivate connection to beautiful futures grounded in Black & Indigenous utopias. She is the daughter of Brenda, the granddaughter of Ena and Eileen and the Great Grandaughter of Mary and Henry. Aisha is the Artistic Director and Co-Principal of Intelligent Mischief, a creative studio unleashing Black imagination to shape the future. She is a recovering organizer and activist and is seeking wholeness through embodiment of the story of the future in which Black folks are thriving, joyful, sovereign and free.

Jaclyn Gilstrap

Jaclyn Gilstrap (she/her/hers) is an activist whose work has focused on supporting women and young people to get the resources they need. She is committed to things like sexual and reproductive rights, racial justice, youth leadership, and ethical global engagement. Jaclyn dabbles in visual art, loves a good queer dance party, and believes in the power of community-led protests. Her strengths are event planning, organizational development, and youth mentorship.
