M Strickland

Senior Researcher

M Strickland is an equity-based human centered designer living in Washington, DC. They founded Curb Cut Design Studio to offer accessibility focused facilitation of the human centered design process. Curb Cut equips communities who are typically excluded from the process of creating the products and services that impact their lives--including the clients of social service providers, healthcare patients, and the subjects of research studies--to step into the power of design. M joined the Beloved Economies team in 2017 to support with research, writing, interviewing, and synthesis. They bring to the team expertise in qualitative research methodologies, adept pattern finding skills, insider insight into the co-design landscape, and a keen analysis of how power inequities shape our world.

Jaclyn Gilstrap

Jaclyn Gilstrap (she/her/hers) is an activist whose work has focused on supporting women and young people to get the resources they need. She is committed to things like sexual and reproductive rights, racial justice, youth leadership, and ethical global engagement. Jaclyn dabbles in visual art, loves a good queer dance party, and believes in the power of community-led protests. Her strengths are event planning, organizational development, and youth mentorship.
